They have definitely gone a long way to hide a lot of the details. Including, who the heck Kathryn Hahn is playing in the series. Other than a the name “Agnes” Sure, she appears to be nothing more than just a doting next door neighbor, but her constant presence throughout the different TV eras, coupled with a particular broch seen in a few shots, have led many to believe that she is in fact, the MCU version of Agatha Harkness, an ancient witch with connections to Scarlet Witch in the comics.
