There were so many questions after the first three episodes and fans were anxious to find out more about what was actually happening to Wanda. Well episode four of the show, titled “We Interrupt This Program” pulled back the curtain a little bit and introduced us to the new organization SWORD and the backstory around it. And let’s just say some of those answers just weren’t what we were expecting! For one, SWORD has been around a lot longer than we imagined! Spider-Man: Far From Home’s post credit scene seemed to suggest Nick Fury was establishing SWORD to protect Earth from intergalactic threats after the whole Thanos ordeal, but WandaVision has confirmed SWORD has been around for quite a bit longer! In fact, Maria Rambeau’s mother, Monica Rambeau, who was BFF’s with Captain Marvel, established SWORD after the events of Carol Danvers’ solo movie, meaning it’s been operating mostly in secret for years! Where has it been all this time and what are its goals? Well today’s video will examine it’s MCU past, as well as how it compares to the SWORD organization from the comics.
