The streaming service has an ambitious plan when it comes to their movie slate this year, with new releases happening almost weekly. One of the first new movies is the science fiction war flick Outside the Wire, starring the MCU’s Anthony Mackie and Snowfall’s Damson Idris. It tells the story of a drone pilot who’s sent directly into a warzone and finds himself paired up with a hi-tech, top-secret android officer to stop a nuclear attack. It’s basically trying to be Training Day meets the Terminator, with mixed results. The movie isn’t perfect, but it has enough good stuff in it to keep fans of war and sci-fi movies entertained for most of its runtime.
