Is MCU finally ready to tackle Hawkeye’s disability? Jeremy Renner and Hawkeye fans, assemble! MCU Major storylines may have come to an end, but the stories of the original Avengers are far from over...that includes Hawkeye. Hawkeye has always been misrepresented and underused in MCU...always in the background, cut out of Infinity War, and retired off screen playing golf in Civil War. It’s about time Hawkeye is given his shot...get it...shot? MCU’s hardest working Avenger is moving to Disney+ for his own TV series, and it appears MCU may finally adapt one of Clint Barton’s main story arcs in the comics, going deaf. With the addition of Kate Bishop, played by Hailey Steinfeld (Bumblebee, The Edge of Seventeen) who trains with Barton to become the new Hawkeye and the new addition of another deaf character, Echo, aka Maya Lopez, played by newcomer Alaqua Cox who is Native American and Deaf, it’s pretty obvious we’re FINALLY going to see Clint deal with hearing loss, much like Matt Fraction’s and David Aja’s critically acclaimed Hawkeye (2012-2015) run.
