The imitation may happen organically like Rugrat's Chuckie Finster being adapted to match Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh, because he worked on the show's soundtrack. Or Larry David's alter ego as George Costanza? Sometimes momentous human events act as the genesis for X Characters. Malcolm X brought us Magneto since Stan Lee and Jack Kirby were staunch supporters of the Civil Rights Movement during the 1960s. And sometimes the counter-culture digresses for the underground, like Ursula from The Little Mermaid, being lifted from the shocking drag-Queen, Divine. Slimer lives on as the Ghost of Jim Belushi.
